Beyond Rules: PhotoClub Vancouver Members’ Exhibition 2010
November 1st to 28th.
Vancouver Public Library
The 2010 exhibition of PhotoClub Vancouver being held in the Moat at the Vancouver Public Library through November is presented in that spirit.
A collection of works by club members, both amateur and professional, produces an eclectic exhibition. It features everything from street photography and portraits, to landscapes and advanced digitally manipulated images. As with past exhibitions, the entire show will be available in book form following the show from Blurb.com. Details will be posted on the club’s web site at http://www.photoclubvancouver.com/.
At twelve years old, PhotoClub Vancouver is young as camera clubs go. However, it is a magnet for established and emerging local talent. Members regularly exhibit in galleries and display their work in photo magazines and other publications. Creativity and, of course, “breaking the rules” are encouraged. Indeed, going “beyond the rules” is something for which the club has become renowned.
Exhibition hours mirror library opening hours:
10:00am to 9:00pm (Monday to Thursday)
10:00am to 6:00pm (Friday and Saturday)
Noon to 5:00pm (Sunday)
Join us for the Opening Reception on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 8:00 to 10:00pm in the Alma Van Deusen Room (#125) at the main branch of the Vancouver Public Library.
If you would like more information about this exhibition or about PhotoClub Vancouver, please contact Alex Magil at communication@photoclubvancouver.com.
